Deep tissue massage Sports massage

Effective for Chronic Pain, Muscle Tension, and Sports Overexertion

Deep Tissue Massage

This deep tissue massage is particularly effective in relieving both chronic and acute movement or pain issues. It helps to loosen muscles and muscle groups, which can alleviate pressure on sensory nerves. This can also provide relief for specific complaints such as eye pain, tinnitus, and dizziness.

Sports Massage

Sports massage can play an important role, especially in preventing injuries. It promotes circulation, reduces muscle tension, and aids in faster recovery of overworked muscles. Sports massage can work preventatively by keeping muscles flexible and preventing injuries during intense physical activities, such as sports or heavy labor.

Some examples of indications include:

  • Back and neck pain
  • Headaches
  • Muscle overuse due to sports, work, or stress
  • Tennis elbow / golfer’s elbow
  • Knee pain
  • Prevention and treatment of sports injuries

What to expect during the dassage

Before we begin, I’ll ask about your symptoms and any specific areas of concern you’d like to address. As you settle onto the massage table, I’ll start with a gentle touch to warm up your muscles. From there, I’ll gradually apply deeper pressure, focusing on areas of tension while being attentive to your comfort. Please feel free to let me know if you need any adjustments to the pressure or technique. I’m here to ensure the massage is as beneficial and comfortable as possible for you.

A deep tissue massage incorporates various techniques such as stretching, kneading, friction, trigger point therapy, and deep stimulation with elbows or hands. These methods enhance blood circulation, ease muscle tension, and promote overall relaxation and flexibility. Additionally, the session provides a space to address and release any emotional stress you may be carrying.

How much time do you need to set aside?

A typical deep tissue massage or sports massage lasts around 50 minutes.

Please consider allowing an extra 10 minutes before and after your appointment to account for arrival, preparation, and relaxation.
